Hilton Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Resort, 5 star
 

The five-star Jumeirah Hotel is a good place to stay; relatively good value, since it's off the city proper, but still close enough, by car at least, to make the stay comfortable. If you're planning on taking public bus, you may get by, but the occasion's much more enjoyable if you have your own car. The hotel has a large and elegant lobby, some good private beach access, and more telephones and gadgets in my room than I knew what to do with. Pretty neat, though, and I'm glad I didn't stay downtown.
